1. click  icon, then menu will be appeared. click " Open Sound settings" menu. 

if  is not be seen, then click  for showing hidden icons.

2. Click " Personalized sound ".

3. Click "Recording" menu then you can see sound guage. if mircophone was conneccted normally, 

you can see sound guage go up when you talk.

4. Right click Microphone area, and click "Properties"

5. select " Levels" menu and drag Microphone & Microphone Boost level up.
